Today I hated you
Because more than anything
When I needed you most
You shot me down
And brushed me off

Today I hated you
For it finally dawned on me
That I am alone in this
And you are a mere
Bystander

Today I hated you
Because you made it very easy
To say goodbye
To take that leap
And let the darkness win

Today I hated you
For you made it clear
That you would be better off
With your tomorrows

Without me
